What is a static (solid state) frequency converter?
Static (solid state) means no moving parts inside the frequency converter, the definition is relative to rotary frequency converter which using an induction motor to achieve variable frequency.

Load Type: Determine the type of load you will be using with the Frequency Converter.
If it’s a motor load, keep in mind that the starting current can be 5-7 times the rated current, so, when choosing a Frequency Converter, you need a Frequency Converter that is 5-8 times more powerful than the motor load.
For non-motor loads, consider a Frequency Converter with a capacity exceeding 1/3 of the load’s power, approximately 4/3 of the load’s power. Also, ensure that the current of the Converter is greater than the load’s current.
