Table Tennis Robot HP 07 Ball Launcher Day 1 of Training (Part 1)

This video is about how we use the HP-07 Table tennis ball launcher during practice and drills.
After we unboxed the robot, we tested it immediately through our own drills. Well, we’re very excited. I even missed joining a tournament in our local club in the city just to unbox this machine and try it out. Let us start.
1. Topspin
Of course, the basic drill is the forehand topspin. We use this drill to warm up. We adjusted the moderate topspin of the controller, which is 4 out of the maximum 7. The lower numbers are so low that it can’t even reach the net; maybe it is good for service throw or double bounce to simulate your opponent’s serving.

2. Topspin on the Rise.
This stroke is very important. Particularly if you had already estimated the ball’s landing position and it is a simple rolling ball.
So better hit the ball while it is rising on its trajectory to catch your opponent off guard. Also, you will be in a better position to strike again if ever he can still return the ball.

3. Topspin on the Rise attacking the Forehand and Backhand side of your opponent’s table.
If you have established the timing and stroke already for the topspin on the rise, better attack your opponent’s weak side. And that is his backhand side.

4. Forehand Topspin – Oscillating
This time we will oscillate the robot side-to-side. We decided that we will not use our backhand stroke if the ball lands on the table’s backhand side.
It is to improve our footwork, our stroke, our timing, and stamina.
