The Xterra TRX5500 is a solid and sturdy treadmill that lets you choose how you want to use it and what content you want to consume on it. You can access all of the workouts without wifi, and there is no monthly subscription fee. This treadmill is well constructed with a steel frame, uprights, and a steel crossbar. It’s great for users of all sizes and fitness levels and it handles up to 350lbs. The 10.1” touchscreen is where you can access all of the entertainment options, as well as customize your workouts.

The Xterra TRX5500 treadmill comes with 7 preloaded apps which are Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, CNN, Fox News, ABC News, and NBC News. There’s 30 preprogrammed workout plans that are customizable. A chest strap monitor is included and can be used during the heart rate training mode. There’s a manual mode where you can control the speed and incline, and a custom mode. This is where you can create fully customized workouts.

The Xterra TRX5500 also a screen-mirroring feature that lets you mirror your phone/tablet. Here is where you can use third-party apps like iFit to take a class, or check your social media. You can also connect the TRX5500 to Bluetooth and use apps like Zwift and Spotify.

The Xterra TRX5500 has a straightforward and easy-to-use console. Everything is well within reach and very accessible. It folds up for extra storage, and has 4 wheels so it can be moved around easily when it is folded up. The step up height to the deck is 8 inches and when inclined to the full 15% it is about 13 inches high from floor to the deck.

We recommend the Xterra TRX5500 for runners who don’t want to be tied into a monthly subscription fee. We recommend it for walkers/joggers who want to watch the news or streaming services like Netflix when they workout. If you’re short on space, this treadmill is great because it folds up and can be moved around easily. This is also great for runners who aren’t concerned about needing an internet connection to workout. We also recommend this treadmill for fitness lovers who want the option to do fully custom workouts or take classes on third-party apps like iFit and Zwift.

The Xterra TRX 5500 treadmill has plenty of options and lets you choose what you want to do. This treadmill is a great choice because it’s solid, easy to navigate, and lets you decide what content you want to watch and how you want to workout on it.
