The Matrix T75 feels like a treadmill you’d find at the gym, mainly because of the motor and solid build quality. We really like that it comes with 4 different console options too, depending on how much entertainment and workout content you’re looking for.
We opted for the XUR display which is the premium option, and we’re impressed with the large 22” touchscreen and all of its capabilities. It comes with several preloaded apps like Netflix, Hulu, Twitter, and Facebook, as well as an internet browser to search the web. If this isn’t enough though, you can also connect your phone/tablet and even a media streaming device to watch whatever you want. I used my Roku device and could point my remote at the screen while using the treadmill.
With how many choices you have to keep yourself entertained, you’ll also find tons of workout choices on the Matrix T75. Matrix provides plenty of onboard workouts that are split into different modes. Manual mode makes it easy to hop on and go, while the rolling hills and heart rate training modes adjust the treadmill for you. You can even create your own workouts in the custom mode.
But that’s not all, there’s also Virtual Active and Sprint 8 workout programs. Sprint 8 is a HIIT program that adjusts the treadmill based on your intensity level, and Virtual Active lets you explore real-life trails around parts of the United States.
Plus, the XUR display is iFit enabled, so iFit members can log on with their membership and access the full library of trainer-led classes. We really like that iFit is completely optional on the Matrix T75, so if you don’t want to pay for the monthly subscription, you can still access all of the other features.
The Matrix T75 comes with a 3.0 HP AC motor. This type of motor is usually only found in commercial gym treadmills. This makes the T75 able to handle multiple users and heavy use. I’m also impressed with how quickly the motor responds to adjustments. As soon as I change the speed and incline, the belt pretty much adjusts at the same time.
This makes this treadmill great for HIIT style workouts, although we did miss quick touch buttons that we’ve come accustomed to on other brands of treadmills. These let you jump from low to high speeds/inclines quickly. Besides missing this feature, the Matrix T75 is really easy to navigate and use. I also love the slim, singular wrap-around handle. It’s great for added balance, and I find that I use it whenever I need to type into the console while walking.
It also has an impressive 400 lb weight capacity and 22” x 60” running deck size, making it great for users of all sizes. It’s also heavy itself and doesn’t fold. We recommend it for users who have a designated space for it in their home.
