The Matrix TF30 treadmill has lots of options! You can choose between 3 different consoles when you purchase the TF30. We opted for the XIR display and we’re impressed with all of its capabilities. Plus, the treadmill itself is sturdy and quiet.
There are several preloaded apps like Netflix, Hulu, Facebook, and Twitter. All you need to do is log into your accounts for each of them. There’s web browsing so you can search the internet and read/watch content from your favorite websites too. You can also plug in your phone/tablet or media streaming device and watch pretty much whatever you want.
The Matrix TF30 is iFit enabled so if you’re an iFit member you can log in and take classes on the fitness app. Features like SmartAdjust and Active Pulse also work on the TF30. The leaderboard isn’t available, but we will update you here and in the written review if it becomes available in the future.
Even though iFit is integrated into the machine, the monthly subscription for iFit isn’t required to use the onboard and preloaded apps on the treadmill. It’s only required if you want to use iFit.
The manual mode is easy to access so you can just hop on and go. Plus, there’s plenty of onboard workouts available too. I really like the Virtual Active program. It lets you explore outdoor trails around the United States while you walk and run. It’s essentially just a camera moving through trails to simulate the experience of being outside. Sprint 8 is also integrated into the machine, so you can do plenty of HIIT workouts there.
What’s really cool is that the onboard workouts, Virtual Active, and Sprint 8 don’t require you to be connected to wifi to use them.
On top of all the entertainment and workout features, the Matrix TF30 is also really sturdy and quiet. The 3.25 HP motor and incline motor are both really quiet. The deck has a low foot noise when running too.
We consider this to be a more compact treadmill because the deck is 20”W x 55”L. Some users with longer running strides might want to opt for a treadmill with a longer deck because the length might not be long enough for you to keep proper form.
We also don’t recommend using the TF30 at the max 15% incline. We had problems with the belt slipping and not maintaining the inputted speed, and sometimes an error message would display on the screen. It’s mentioned in the manual. 10-13% inclines worked better for us depending on the size of the user.
Overall, we really like the Matrix TF30. The treadmill itself is sturdy and quiet, and the entertainment and workout options are basically endless! So, if you’re looking for a solid treadmill that will keep you from getting bored while working out, the Matrix TF30 is a great choice.
