Ping-pong 01: Training and Practicing Table Tennis with Return Board [ 乒乓球训练 — 回球板 ]
Since you find this video and maybe plan to spend 2 minutes of your life time watching it, I assume you like to play ping pong. As a reward, I would share with you some of my thoughts and experiences on improving table tennis skills through solo training.
I have tried table tennis (ping pong) return boards and robots. Finally I find that return boards are more fun and give me more challenges.
One of the challenges is to control the landing of the ball on the other side of the table, so it can bounce back to your side and make the continuous practice possible. This requires practice, and more practice. But you get a big satisfaction after you have made nonstop returning 5, 10, 20, or even 100 times.
With a return board, you are no longer looking desperately for a playing partner all the time.
Unlike ping pong robot, no battery or power cord is required. And you don’t need to worry about the possibilities that the mechanical moving parts may be broken or worn out in the middle of training.
Let me know what you think about the pros and cons of return boards by writing down some comments. Give a thumb up if you like it. Thanks!
